SEPA TAKES ENFORCEMENT ACTION AGAINST DOUNREAY
On Friday 23 September 2005, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) served an enforcement notice on UKAEA Dounreay after it breached conditions in its authorisation to discharge gaseous radioactive waste.  A team of inspectors from SEPA carried out a week long audit of the site in June and found 28 problems.

Thrumster Against Nursery Closure - Campaign Update
The group fighting to keep a nursery at Thrumster primary school have been having a series of meetings over the past few weeks.  they have been lobbying politicians and are continuing to do so.  a public meeting has been arranged for everyone to hear the latest and meet with Jamie Stone MSP at the Smiddy Inn on 30 September at 6.30pm

Ding-way Lin From Taiwan In Caithness with Local Artist Joanne B Kaar
Last year I worked with Scottish artist, Joanne B Kaar when she came to the Chaoyang University of Technology in Taichung, to be the artist-in-residence in the department of  communication design where I am currently studying. She stayed here for 5 months. During this time I showed Joanne around Taiwan and also introduced her to our traditions. At the end of her stay, we both exhibited new work at the Su-Ho paper museum in Taipei City, which was inspired by this experience. Joanne returned to Scotland in December 04, but we kept in touch.
