| COUNCIL CONVENER JOINS CASE BOARD
Appointed to the post of convener last May, Mrs Magee is The Highland Council member for Sutherland Central. Mrs Magee - a first class honours graduate of Cambridge University - lives in Lairg and was elected to Sutherland District Council in 1988 before joining The Highland Council in 1996, following reorganisation. Commenting on her appointment, Mrs Magee said: "I am very pleased to have been appointed to the CASE board. I look forward to contributing constructively to the future economic benefit of Caithness and Sutherland." Welcoming Mrs Magee to the board of CASE, chairman Pat Buchanan said: "We are delighted to have Councillor Magee on board. She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge on a variety of issues relevant to Caithness and Sutherland and we are sure she will make a very positive contribution." The board is non-executive and provides CASE with strategic advice and guidance as well as making recommendations on larger strategic projects. |
