PREPARING THE GROUND FOR NEW WASTE FACILITY The enabling works for a proposed waste transfer facility at the Dounreay cementation plant store are nearing completion. The work has been carried out in four distinct parts. Building demolition has been carried out by J Gunn & Sons Ltd, new service gantry completed by Johnson Controls and D Gow & Sons Ltd and road re-alignment, drainage and excavation works by M M Miller (Contractors) Wick. The diversion of existing services and the pouring of the stanchion bases is being carried out by R J McLeod Ltd. It is anticipated that tenders for the main construction work will be issued in the New Year. A tendering list has been drawn up following an advertisement in the Official Journal of the European Union. |
