Heather Miller |
I have lived in Caithness all my life, was born in Lybster where I lived until I moved to Wick in 1983. I am the granddaughter of the late Danny and Nellie MacGregor who used to have the shop in Bank Row which many people will remember. I work as the Money Adviser with the Caithness Citizens Advice Bureau. I have been on the committee of the Wick Town Improvements Association since 1990; been involved with Wick Youth Club since 2001, and have also been involved since the beginning with the group who have been working to get a memorial garden in place where the bairns were killed on 1st July 1940 at the bottom of the Black Stairs. I am not associated with any political party so do not follow any political agenda. I believe that all people should be treated the same, no matter who they are, and do not like to see anyone, irrespective of their age, race or gender be treated unfairly or differently from anyone else. If elected, I will do all I can for you, the people I am representing. I will never forget that it is because of you the voters that I was elected. I will work to ensure that you my voters are not forgotten about; with a strong emphasis on our children, and education. I would also promote better health care and amenities for all, especially our elderly, and disabled. I would help to promote the continuing re-development of Wick and make our town a safer, better place to live and work in. I would like to be given the chance to represent you, the people of Wick, so let 3rd May be the day you vote for me, and let someone new get the chance to work for you! |
