Letter
Received
John Thurso wrote
to us stating he maybe in Caithness on the week of our Summer School
and is hoping to arrange a meeting with us. Received a letter from
the Harbour Trust stating that they do not own any ground around the
distillery.
Received a letter
from Mr Whitelaw telling us that Mrs Tina Robinson who works in Thurso
for the Council maybe able to help us with our Summer School. Tried
contacting her to arrange with her to come along to a meeting but no
reply, Nina Fraser is going to assist us with the organising of summer
school.
HEALTH AND
SAFETY EXECUTIVE
The HSE phoned
from Aberdeen, they have written to Maxi and given him 18 days to
clean up the area around his workshop.
ALEX STEVENS LAND
Alex Steven
telephoned to say that he owns the land from the road to the
distillery wall, which includes Maxi’s mess. He has asked Maxi to
clean up the area.
NEWSLETTER/REGISTRATION
FORM
The
Newsletter/Registration Form has been handed out to all school
children in the South School. Pulteneytown Academy were also given
the Newsletter/Registration Form as some pupils in the Pulteney
catchment area attend the school.
ARTICLE
FOR THE GROAT
There will be an
article in the Groat on Friday for the BBQ on Saturday. Leaflets and
posters have been handed out. Some shops in the area have been
approached about donations for prizes. Safeways, The Flower Patch,
Minnies, MacDonald Stone Merchants & MacDonalds Bakery have so far
given a donation.
