| Highland hospice his holding its fifth
annual Tartan Ball on Saturday 9th March 200 and hope it will be bigger than
ever, following the unfortunate and unforeseen cancellation of last year's
event Over the years the Tartan Ball has raised considerable funds towards the development and support of palliative care in Caithness and Sutherland. In conjunction with the NHS Primary Care Trust, we now employ two palliative care nurses in the area who provide advice and support to patients living at home. These nurses have also been trained in bereavement support and continue to work with carers after a patient's death. any monies raised through the Tartan Ball are spent on services and developments in the Caithness and Sutherland area. Tickets are priced �20 with seating in tables of 10. There will be a hot buffet, music, dancing and entertainment throughout the evening.
