Dear All,

Inservice Days
School will be closed to pupils on Monday 20th. November and Tuesday 21st. November 06 for inservice training of school staff. School will reopen to pupils on Wednesday 22nd. November at the usual time.

For your information, The Wick Family Centre will be open to all children on these days from 8.45 am to 6.00 pm. Please telephone 01955 606065 to book a place.

Armistice Sunday
Sophie Malcolm and Richard Jenkins will be laying the wreath on behalf of Wick North Primary School at the Armistice Day Parade on Sunday 12th. November. The parade will commence at 10.45am. The wreath laying party should meet me at the Town Hall at 10.40am.

School Lunches
Could you please remind your children to book their lunches each day before 9.10 am. It would be most helpful if they could book all the meals they require for the week on the Monday morning. It is not a good idea for older brothers or sisters to order lunch for the little ones as they might not agree with their choices. It is better that everyone orders their own lunches.
Thank you for your help.

Highland Schools Swimming Championships
My congratulations go to our two children, Stephanie Webster and Scott Taylor, who took part in the Highland Schools Swimming Competition in Inverness and did so well. Stephanie came first in the Backstroke final with a personal best time and third in the Front Crawl Freestyle. Scott came fifth in the Breaststroke with an excellent time. Well done both.

St. Andrews Day
On St. Andrews Day we will be having Mince and Tatties followed by shortbread for school lunches. We will also have some mystery prizes for those children who wear something tartan.

Mosaics
As you may have seen in the John O Groat Journal, the school has recently been brightened up by some new mosaics produced by P5 children, ably assisted by Mrs. Stewart, class teacher and Mrs Bain, classroom assistant. All concerned have worked very hard on this and the end results are splendid.
Well done.

Christmas Concert
This years Christmas Concert will take place on Thursday 14th. December from 7.00 pm till 9.00 pm and on Friday 15th. December from 1.00 pm till 3.00 pm. I will give you more details nearer the time.

Holiday Dates
School will close for the Christmas holidays on Thursday 21st. December and re-open on Monday 8th. January.

Yours sincerely,
