Caithness Community Web Site and its fast growing partner site Caithness Business Pages is built and maintained by Bill Fernie and Niall Fernie.  Both web sites are now part of Scorrie Internet Services a new business venture started on 1 May 2001.   Several others contributed in the past and have gone off to do other webby stuff.

Bill and Niall are expanding the number of web sites in Caithness by offering the chance for local businesses to have an independent web site with its own domain name and have the promotion and marketing offered by several links in the existing web sites which in June 2001 alone had over 1,600,000 hits.  By October 2001 when Caithness.org won the Best Community Site award at the Yell.com awards the hits had risen to over 2 million a month.  Caithness.org also won the best site over all award for 2001 at the Yell.com awards.
