6.0 Stakeholders
Corus proposes that a broad group of stakeholders to fund and oversee the project is set up. Key bodies are: -

Highland Council
Highlands and Islands Enterprise
Scottish Executive
Network Rail
Railway Passengers� Council (Scotland)
First Group (Scotrail)

There are also the newly emerging structures: -
Transport Scotland
Highlands & Islands Regional Transport Partnership

Network Rail would also be a primary source of data. The study would require access to previous reports and data from all the stakeholders.

Strong stakeholder involvement is important for the success of the project. In addition to the formal stakeholders, the views of local community councils would be sought.
