Meteor Seen
Over Caithness
Julie Ross a staff nurse at Caithness General saw a strange bright
light travelling at speed across the sky on Sunday night about 9.00pm.
She was standing at the front door of the Caithness General in Wick and
saw the light clearly beyond the town but could not say what distance it
was. She could see the bright light and realised it was moving
extremely fast and thought it might have been a shooting star.
It seems that this is likely to be
correct as there have been sightings of the object from Shetland and
Orkney at about the same time.
