The Executive's Tartan Day website is now live and can be accessed at www.tartanday.gov.uk

National Tartan Day in America was inaugurated by the US Senate in 1998 as a recognition of the contribution generations of Scots-Americans have made to the development of the United States.

It is held on April 6^th each year. This year one of the principal events is Scottish Power Tunes of Glory which hopes to have 10,000 pipers and drummers parading on the streets of Manhattan.
