Highland Council - John Rosie - Independent

If elected I pledge to the following:
  • Support adequate budgets for care of the elderly
  • Support adequate budgets for pre-school and the education of our children
  • Pursue the need for more police presence in our housing estates and streets in general
  • Support the ASDA planning application at Pennyland
  • Work with other agencies to attract new, modern industries to Caithness
  • Ensure budgets are restored to maintain our cemetery, parks, gardens and streets in a clean and attractive manner
  • Replacement of the Mall foot-bridge at the earliest possible date
  • Seek the earliest possible conclusion to the problem of the dilapidated house in the middle of Princes Street
  • Support a modern, full scale recreational centre for Thurso on the Viewfirth site with facilities for the Arts, Music, Drama and other forms of recreational activities
