CAITHNESS WELCOMES THE CONTINENTAL MARKET
There will be about 30 stalls selling chocolate, cheese, garlic, fruit, veg, waffles, wine, cider, olives, sweets, biscuits, bread, honey, mustard, herbs & spices, soap, handbags, clothing, cookware, jewellery, table decorations, leather goods and plants. The event is being held as part of the Lower Pulteneytown bicentennial celebrations and to coincide with this there will be musical entertainment, dancers, a barbecue, boat trips and stalls at the harbour on the afternoon of Saturday 28 August.
People in Orkney can also benefit from the market. Pentland Ferries are leaving St Margaret�s Hope at 1200 on both 28 and 29 August and returning from Gills at 1845. A coach will be available to and from Wick on both days. The ferry will also be operating on Friday 27 but a coach link will not be available. Prices are �20.00 for Adults and �10.00 for children (5-16 years old). For the purchase of tickets please call 01856 831226 and quote �Continental Market�.
As this event is actually part of the Lower Pulteneytown Bicentennial Celebrations we are holding an event with musical entertainment and various stalls at the Fish Market at the harbour during the afternoon of Saturday 28th. The stalls will be in aid of the Community Memorial Garden at Bank Row. A ceildh is to be held at 9.00PM also on Saturday 28th in the Pipe Band Hall. Wolfwind, David Nicol & Addie Harper, Caithness Handbell Ringers, the Wick Pipe Band and other guests are to participate. |
