Among the folk he meets are crofter Peter Stewart, Burnhill, Thrumster, John Angus , Dunbeath, Dr Neville Jones, a writer of letters to the John O'Groat Journal and his family at Mid Clyth. Reflecing the people from around the globe who have come to Canadian is artist Monique Sleidrecht who lives at Freswick Castle.
