HARRY POTTER COMES TO LOCHABER
 WITH HIS CHAMBER OF SECRETS

Casting for "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" has taken place at Lochaber High School and 100 13-15 year old pupils lined up to ride the "Hogwarts Express" train as pupils of Hogwarts Castle School for Wizards.

The film company Warner Bros.have been working with the school since June to make the arrangements for pupils to act as extras. They will be going through their casting interviews at the school today and being measured up for the Hogwarts uniforms and their wizards cloaks.  Lochaber High School Head Teacher, Stephen Dowds, has also arranged for a number of additional work experience posts for senior students on the film set at Glenfinnan next weekend.  There was no difficulty either getting staff volunteers for the chaperone roles for the two-day film shoot on the West Highland Line.

Mr Dowds said: "This is an excellent opportunity for our school and for Lochaber, which is the perfect place to film the exciting adventures of Harry Potter and friends. We have been using the books to promote reading and particularly to get more boys reading for pleasure. Students and staff are delighted to be involved in this adventure. On reading the books myself I felt that a few of the spells cast by the teaching staff of Hogwarts Castle could be very useful "deterrents" for staff at the High School. We are all looking forward to being on board."
