Look no hands! - time stands still for Wick Town Hall Clock

TIME is not hanging heavily on the hands of the Wick town clock...for they've been removed!The mechanism of the far north civic timepiece has been dismantled, ahead of a complete overhaul. It's part of a major £1 million upgrade at the town hall which will include the installation of a lift. The clock work is being undertaken by an Edinburgh firm which handles its annual service and it will be eight months before the renovations are complete and Wickers will again be able to get a time check in the town centre.
