John O'Groats Beach, Caithness - A Bright Sunday Walk

A pleasant walk from John O'Groats towards Duncansby Head Lighthouse is a great way to spend a couple of hours. The small beaches along the way are strewn with many shells and interesting pools. The small sandy beaches are in stark contrast to the rocky foreshore on each side of them. The views to Stroma and the Skerries are excellent with at least three lighthouses in sight.
