This was deposited in the archive some time in 1996 from Property and Architectural Services and covers the dates 1938-c.1980. It consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence, with housing application forms and internal council memos etc. It is under the normal 30-year closure period except where indicated. There are some obvious gaps, particularly in the early years

Housing return forms and correspondence over individual cases

O15/1 Applications for building warrants: completed forms and covering correspondence. Relating to properties in areas including Bilbster, Scrabster, Latheronwheel and Halkirk.
1938-1946

O15/2 Housing returns forms of Caithness County Council relating to the Housing (Agricultural Population) Act 1938. These are short statistical summaries with brief covering letters, and occasional additional correspondence clarifying terms under which grants should be made

O15/3 (i-iii) Specifications, applications and correspondence re housing improvements. Includes details of work to be undertaken and certificates of completion. Large file now split between three folders for preservation purposes (numbered i-iii)
