Learning Direct Scotland
Adult Guidance Helpline

Learning Direct Scotland is the national adult guidance telephone helpline funded by the Scottish Office to complement the work of adult guidance networks throughout Scotland.

This free Helpline is operated by Continuing Education Gateway Glasgow and is staffed by qualified careers and adult guidance advisors. The Helpline is available not just to members of the public but also to anyone whose work involves them in providing vocational and educational guidance guidance to adults.

The service provided by the Helpline encompasses the following -

- Information on learning opportunities
financing learning; child care provision

- Advice on job-hunting (although not specific vacancies)

- Signposting of callers on to other services, such as local guidance services or
directly to providers of learning.
