Christmas in Caithness 2000
Wick Fun Day and Lights Switch On Saturday 25 November
Big crowds were out
in Wick for the non-stop entertainment that started at 11.00 and ran all
the way up to the lights switch on at 4.00pm. Staff in many shops
got into the swing of things by dressing up in all sorts of
costumes. The market square had a range of stalls selling goods
and collecting for charities. Free wine was being given out in
some shops and with mulled wine in the market square it was a great
start to the festive season. Thurso's day is next Saturday
so lets hope the weather is just as good as it was for Wick. |
