Stone Lost |
Notes: This stone once stood in a corner of a field near the foreshore west of Castletown, on a low mound which has now been ploughed over. According to a report of 1877, the stone was sculptured with "a very crude drawing, resembling a greyhound" (OS 1873, 7:31). It is not known what became of the stone, and an inspection of the immediate locality has failed to shed any further light. |
