Wings Over Wick
1939 - 1945
Three Hurricanes at Wick in the early months
of 1940. Overhead flies Lancaster bomber which has just returned
from a reconnaisance mission to Narvik in Norway - at the time this was
the longest reconnaisance flight the RAF had ever made.
Note - We have had an email re the Lancaster - 17
November 2001
"Its NOT a Lancaster but a Vickers Armstrong Wellington!!!!"
4 February 2004
The picture on your Wings over Wick index page actually shows Hurricanes
and
a Wellington in flight, not a Lancaster.
