Photo courtesy of the Book of Lybster which shows just how many attended this small rural but now somewhat isolated school all of 60 years ago. It lies on the hill to the north west of Lybster and can be reached from the Rumster Forest Road or off the A99 about a mile or so west of Lybster. The school closed on April 1st 1960 with 7 pupils on the roll. The school and its nearby schoolhouse are now private dwellings........Marshall Bowman
