THE SHEARER GATHERING Programme Day 1 Friday 19th August 2005 11.00 - 12.30 Welcome Reception, Registration and Morning Coffee in Canisbay Village Hall This will mark the beginning of the gathering and give us a chance to meet before the big night.07.00 - 01.00 Buffet Dance in The New Weigh Inn Scrabster We plan to make this a very special evening. A photographer, entertainment and transport have been arranged.Day 2 Saturday 20th August 2005 11.30 - 16.00 Mini Highland Games and BBQ lunch at Bridleway Upper Gills Fun for all the family! This will be a leisurely affair allowing lots of time to make new acquaintances. There will be a few traditional Highland Game events and a little friendly competition. Midgie eaters will be on standby of course.07.00 -24.00 Ceilidh and Supper in Canisbay Village Hall The evening will begin with a light supper, followed by music, dance and song! We have a varied programme of entertainment from Shearers young and old with a little international flavour!! Day 3 Sunday 21st August 2005 02.00 Visit to the Castle of Mey. For those who still have the energy a visit to the Castle and Gardens.16.00 Church Service in Canisbay Church Reverend Esme Duncan will conduct a special family service to mark the close of the gathering. |
