Oakland Fire Department Pecan Pie

Beat 3 eggs thoroughly with 2/3 cup sugar, a dash of salt, 1 cup dark corn syrup, and 1/3 cup melted butter. Add 1 cup pecan pieces. Pour into 9-inch unbaked pastry shell.

Bake in moderate oven (350 F) 50 minutes or till knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool and serve.
