The following Sunday 7th Oct. there is a similar event in Thurso. It kicks off at 1.00pm from Thurso swimming pool and is sponsored by Wheels Cycle shop of Thurso.

The event for primary schools is a team event with teams of 3 from primaries 4 through to 7. Each team consists of 1 swimmer, 1 cyclist and 1 runner. There is a race for secondary pupils in 1st, 2nd & 3rd year who take part as individuals, i.e. each person does all 3 disciplines. There are prizes for each category but we try to put the emphasis on participation.

The Wick race is sponsored by UKAEA and Thurso by Wheels Cycle Shop. As far as I know entries for the Wick race are fully subscribed, we expect around 150.
