Just go along to the Achanarras Quarry on Sunday. The quarry
is a very famous fossil site where some of the finest examples of
Devonian fish have been found. Nigel Trewin of Aberdeen University and Jack Saxon of Thurso who has made many discoveries in the quarry will be there to help identify your finds. To get to the quarry turn west on the A9 at Mybster crossroads on the B870 towards Westerdale and just less than a mile turn right on a track beside a plantation that leads to the car park.
