Abseil In Caithness Raises £8000
On Saturday 19 October 2002 about 45 people joined in the challenge to abseil down the Caithness General Hospital Chimney to raise funds for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust

                 

The weather was very mixed moving between showers and sunshine over the day.   Some people had travelled some distance for the chance to take on the abseil of the chimney.   A group of young folk came up from Golspie.

                  

One lady raised £600 for the charity.  Everyone enjoyed the experience and the majority of folk had never done anything like it before.  the experts on hand to set up the gear and deal with safety were from the Glasgow Climbing club.
