Celebrity Cooks Night

The cooking demonstrations in aid of Cancer research was a great success with a full house.  Ashley Cowie of Three Seas Fish who compered the evening was delighted with the response.  Three Seas Fish and Bews Butchers supplied quality fish and meat for the cooks to use.  Ashley gave information about the varieties of fish being used and explained how certain fish could be replaced with others of similar taste and texture but at a cheaper price.  In addition to the cooking tips and information about ingredients the two chefs use at Ackergill Tower and Portland Arms Hotel there was plenty of humour with Quinton who hails from Australia donning a chefs hat complete with corks.

The Royal British Legion is the setting on Wednesday 24 October for a set of demonstrations by local celebrity chefs Quinton from the Portland Arms Hotel and Kevin from Ackergill Tower.

The event is a fundraiser for Cancer Research and is being sponsored by three Seas Fish, and Bews Butchers.

Demonstrations by the chefs will be supplemented with fish sales and tastings.  All proceeds from Fish Sales by Three Seas Fish will go to Cancer Research.

Ashley Cowie of Three Seas Fish said "This is intended to be an entertaining evening demonstrating how to cook a variety of meats and fish by two of the prominent chefs in the county."

The entrance price is 3.50 and the evening starts at 7.30pm
