Caithness Voluntary Group Opens New
Offices In Williamson Street

Thursday 20 May 2004 Caithness Voluntary Group opened its new offices in
Williamson Street. the refurbished building to be called Telford
Houses runs round the corner into Telford Street where new houses will
open on Friday 21 May. Mr Bill Mowat ex councillor and provost of
Wick introduced Paul White from Scottish council for Voluntary
Organisations who said he was pleased to have been invited to open the new
facility. Several projects are already operating from the new
building.
The building has been completely
refurbished with only the walls and roof remaining in place. Inside
is a very modern office space on several levels. The suite of
offices is wired for computers and has a conference room available for
local organisations to use for meetings and training. Mr Mowat who
chaired the group for many years said it had been along held dream to get
Caithness Voluntary Group rehoused in decent premises. T |
