ATTEMPTED ROBBERY- WICK About 2210 hours on Saturday, 16th March, 2002, a Wick taxi operator picked up two men as a fare in his BMW taxi on River Street, Wick, near to the Bridge Street roundabout. On reaching the specified roundabout at Baronswell, Wic, one male attacked the taxi driver from behind and demanded money from him. The taxi driver freed himself from the man's grip and both men fled empty handed. The taxi driver received a monor injury during the attack. His assailant may have been armed with a knife or sharp implement. The two men are described as both being about 6 foot tall, 30-35 years of age, medium build wesaring dark clothing. Both were clean shaven and neither wore spectacles. One man had untidy dark brown curly hair. The other man wore a dark blue baseball cap in a back to front manner and had a Glasgow accent. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this
incident or anyone with information to contact them at Wick Police
