Friends and Fund Raisers See New Renal Unit At Caithness General Hospital Some of the many fund raisers and members of the Kidney Dialysis support Group visited the new Renal Unit which has already started work. The support from the local community must rate as one of the best ever in the county with a great many groups involved in other activities raising money and passing it on to the support group and the renal unit. Sheena Craig the Trust manger welcomed everyone to the new unit. The new renal unit opened at Caithness General with staff having undergone full training. The new unit means an end for many patients who had previously to travel over two hundred miles round trip to Raigmore hospital in Inverness up to three times a week. The unit will also have the capacity to treat visitors to the area by prior arrangement. TV's and other entertainment will be installed shortly. |
