Attempted Robbery At Elm Tree Filling Station | ||
About 5.30 pm on Wednesday 2nd January 2002, an
incident occurred at the Elm Tree Filling Station, George Street, Wick,
when a man attempted to enter the premises at closing time and challenged
a member of staff demanding money by threats.
The male left without success and fled the scene. The male is described as about 5'10", medium build, with a local accent, wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava/ski mask. The police in Wick are anxious to speak to any member of the public who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of the filling station at that time.
