The latest building to disappear at Dounreay is major workshop built in the 1960s to support Operation Engineering Technology Division OETD. Built to support and provide engineering capabilities during the halcyon days of UKAEAs research and development role, it fell to the demolition mans hammer at the weekend. It was located to the west of the DFR dome, and its demolition clears more of the ground needed for new facilities to decommission legacies of the site's R & D era
