MAIN WORKSHOPS The UKAEA’s main workshop buiding was the largest and best equipped in the North of Scotland. Now that we are decommissioning this facility has been converted to office accommodation - we now use contractors to provide workshop services. RWE NUKEM HEADQUARTERS The Headquarters of RWE Nukem is also on the site and they acquired the nuclear engineering aspects of AEA Technology. The presence of companies such as RWE, the giant German energy group, indicates how decommissioning a site such as Dounreay draws major companies to the area for business. |
