Fund Raising Events
 We drew our Halloween Raffle on Saturday 30th October.

Katy Moore from Castletown won the 1st prize (Dracula cuddly toy and a bottle of wine) with winning ticket No 1.  Sheila Plowman from Thurso won the 2nd prize (Dracula cuddly toy) with winning ticket No 25.  Jill McKain from Thurso won the 3rd prize (Devil cuddly toy) with winning ticket No 56.

We would like to thank everyone who bought raffle tickets from us.

We have now started our "Guess the Dog's Birthday" competition - you can win a beautiful German Shepherd cuddly toy if you guess the correct date.

We have received donations from Safeways in Wick, Georgeson's Solicitors in Wick, Richard Arrowsmith, Caithness Search and Rescue Team, Caithness Tours and Wick Golf Club. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us so far.

We are still trying to organise some indoor venues for car boot sales, and somewhere to hold a children's disco, whist drive and pub quiz night. If anyone can offer us a venue at a discounted price, please contact us. We would really appreciate it. We would also like to appeal to everyone in Caithness, to come to our Fun Day in Thurso Town Hall on 11th December. If anyone has any donations of clothes, books, videos, bric-a-brac, home baking - anything at all that we can sell at our Fun Day, please contact us.

Hound For a Pound - £1 a turn. Everyone picks a number, and once all the numbers have been chosen, we will take £100 into the bank, and have it changed into a £100 note. The last three numbers of the serial number on the £100 note will be the winning number - the winner will win the £100 prize. This will be ongoing throughout next year as well, and details of the draw date will be advertised once the numbers are all chosen.

Quizzes We will have a series of 4 quizzes - one will be a wordsearch, one will be a crossword, one will be anagrams, and the final one will be a quiz. Each one will carry on the theme of animals/jungles and Costa Rica. The winner of each quiz will win £10. Each person who enters all 4 quizzes, will be entered into a bigger draw -the prize will be a day out with the Caithness and Sutherland Search Team. This prize has very kindly been donated by the Caithness and Sutherland Search Team, which is much appreciated, as they are also a voluntary group.

Guess The Dog's Birthday £1 a turn. The prize is a beautiful German Shepherd soft toy - he is gorgeous! This will hopefully be drawn on Saturday 11th December, although this has yet to be confirmed.

Fun Day - to be held on Saturday 11th December in Thurso Town Hall - 1-5pm. We will have various tables selling home baking, bric-a-brac, clothes, toys, books etc. We will also have face painting, various games, raffles, bottle stall and various other activities.  If anyone would be interested in donating anything for the Fun Day, or would like to help out in any way, please contact us.

A table at the Car Boot Sale held in the rear co-operative car park in Telford Street, Inverness, this Saturday (25th September). It starts at 10am and finishes at 3pm.  Mandy will be on her own that day so pop along and say hello. if you are in Inverness

A table booked at the Car Boot Sale being held at Crossroads Primary School by Dunnett this Sunday (26th September). It starts at 12 noon and finishes at 2pm.

Later Events Planned
We are trying to organise a few other events, including a Halloween raffle, prize bingo in November, a sale of work in December and some children's disco's as well. We will be holding raffles continually from now until next November, and are also planning a series of quizzes with a jungle theme.
