MOTORISTS WARNED OF ROAD CLOSURE AT HELMSDALE
Motorists are being advised of temporary road closures of the U305 road at Helmsdale which will take place on two consecutive weekends next month to allow RailTrack to modernise the rail level crossing at Marrel. These closures will take place between 7.30 pm on Saturday 7th September and 12.30 pm on Sunday 8th September and between 7.30 pm on Saturday 14th September and 12.30 pm on Sunday 15th September - all over a length of approximately 50 metres centred on the level crossing. As there is no alternative route available to access six properties beyond the closure, the Contractor will be liaising with residents and arranging a ''taxi'' service for those affected, as necessary, during the periods of closure. Arrangements are also being put in hand to allow any necessary access, without delays, for emergency or medical services. Main roads are not affected. |
