A huge 170 Tonne Cable Unloaded at Wick Harbour was all set to go to Subsea7's complex at Wester, Caithness. The new cable will be joined by a huge state of the art winch later this year and will be used in the launches of new pipeline bundles from Wester. The cable and winch act to control the launch and prevent the pipelines going to fast when pulled by tugs out to sea. With demand increasing for the Subsea7 expertise in pipeline bundles this new investment makes sense to ensure that thing go smoothly for every new launch.
