Awarded to Mrs Jean Macdonald, who has had a lifetime of volunteering and is totally committed to serving the community and helping others. She was a Sunday School teacher in Watten for 50 years and still offers her support and organisational skills to local events. She was a founder member of the Watten holiday club running this every summer for 50 children and founded the Watten Lunch Club for Senior Citizens. She started the Watten Brownies in 1961, which she ran for nearly thirty years and founded the Guides at Watten in the 1970’s.
