Awarded to Grant Lyall, a talented musician in his own right, who has also helped countless others to be successfully involved in music. Over the years he has tutored and mentored many pupils and drum corps members in Caithness, Sutherland and Rosshire, supporting the Wick Pipe Band and others further afield, even overseas. He shares his time freely in the evenings and at weekends, passing on his skills and enthusiasm to others unstintingly.
