Barrock Mains Farm
Barrock Mains farm stands at the back of Barrock House. The farm buildings were part of the estate and erected in the mid nineteenth century. The farm today is run with modern machinery and is a family run concern. The original buildings are still in place and used today for animals and storage. the style is unusual and similar buildings are more likely to be found in other parts of North East Scotland but not in Caithness. The buildings have three dovecotes - two in one barn - one at either end and another in the main higher point of the main building. |
