ANONYMOUS DONATION
Thank you to whoever left the anonymous donation of new books and soft toys at the office door on Friday 28 October. The books have gone to the school library and the soft toys to the PTA cupboard for their next fundraising event.

INDIVIDUAL/FAMILY PHOTOS
The school photographer is booked to take individual and family photographs on Monday, 14 November. There is a tear-off booking form at the end of this newsletter and this should be completed and returned to school by Wednesday, 9 November. Please indicate clearly the names of your child(ren) and their class(es). The Nursery children are only in school for a short time and I do not want to miss them if you want them in a family photo. If your child attends our 3 year old Nursery and a Monday is not their usual day to attend, please make the necessary arrangements with the Nursery staff for your child to attend that day. Please note that if we do not receive a form your child(ren) will not have their photograph taken.

HALLOWE’EN FAYRE
A huge thank you to everyone who made donations/helped on stalls/made the effort to dress up - in fact helped in any way to make the Hallowe’en Fayre the success it was. There was a terrific turn out with loads of fantastic costumes and a lovely atmosphere in the hall.

SAFER ROUTES TO SCHOOL MEETING
The SRTS meeting with Lisa Graham will be held in the Parents’ Room at 11.15am on Wednesday 2 November. All parents interested in the issue of safe travel to school should attend.

CYCLING PROFICIENCY TRAINING
Just a reminder that training will be held on Wednesday, 2 November at 1.00 pm.

Open meeting with Mrs farmer
Unfortunately no parents attended the first open meeting which hopefully indicates parents do not have any major concerns. I do however intend to persevere with this activity as comments from parents and responses in questionnaires suggest some parents do have questions they would like to discuss. I would like to put forward two items for discussion at the next meeting:-

UNUSUAL SUSPECTS – WICK ASSEMBLY ROOM
The Highland Council Music Development Officer has asked me to distribute the flier.

PTA NEWS
Copies of PTA minutes are available on the school website and also on the notice board outside the office. The PTA AGM will be held at 6.30pm on Thursday 3 November.

SCHOOL BOARD
Copies of School Board minutes are available on the school website and also on the notice board outside the office. The next meeting will be held at 7.00 pm on Monday, 14 November.
