BIG HEART DAY 9 FEBRUARY
Our fundraising efforts for Big Heart Day were very successful. Staff
activities, the mini fair afternoon and donations gave us a grand total
of 524.88. Well done and Thank you to everyone who contributed.
HIPSTER TROUSERS
As you will doubtless be aware the current trouser fashion is to wear
hipster trousers/jeans or baggy trousers sitting very low on the hips.
It has been brought to my attention that due to this trend we have a
number of bottoms being inadvertently bared when the children sit in
groups for teaching. This must be, if not uncomfortable for the children
concerned, embarrassing when other children tactlessly point it out.
Needless to say it can be disruptive to the day to day teaching in the
class.
Can I please appeal to parents to carefully consider
the appropriateness of the clothing their children wear to school and
thank those of you who already do so.
NURSERY ENROLMENT
As yet we have not been informed of the dates for Nursery enrolment but
it is usually either the last week in February or the first week in
March. If you know of anyone who has children approaching Nursery age
please advise them to contact the school in the near future to make an
appointment for enrolment. Please remember we now have a three year old
session as well as our four year old session.

and Primary 3 will start and at the time the timetables will change. New

will need volunteers to help escort the children to and from the pool.

40 minutes each Wednesday. Please complete the tear off slip at the end
of this newsletter to indicate if you are able/unable to help us in this
way on a Wednesday morning and return by Wednesday, 23 February. If you
have been an escort in the past and are willing to continue please
complete the slip as I will not make that assumption. Please remember we
welcome help from Grannies and Grandads too!
