THE SCULPTURED STONES OF CAITHNESS
A survey by Tim Blackie and Colin Macaulay

Reference Number: SSC/26

Notes: An Ordnance Survey Object Name Book of 1872 records that a sculptured stone was found during the removal of a broch at Sibster (ND 1499 6011) in 1841. The stone was removed "by a gentleman residing at Thurso Castle", and it is just possible that this stone is identical with Reference Number SSC/1 (see entry). No other details are known. Documentation: OS 1872 ONB.
