The Sword and the Grail
Andrew Sinclair
The discovery of a tombstone built by his
ancestors set Andrew Sinclair on a trail that was to lead to major
re-assessments, not only of our understanding of the discovery of America,
but also of the origins of the Freemasons and their role in world history.
Based on stunning new archaeological evidence, both in the UK and the USA,
The Sword and the Grail details the part played by the Order of the
Knights of the Templar - here proved to be the true antecedents of the
Freemasons - in the discovery of America. As they fled the authorities
who wished to destroyed them, some of the outlawed Templars carried their
treasure to St Clair Castle, where the knights' relics are still buried.
The tomb of their St Clair Grand Master, with the Grail carved on his
stone, lies in Rosslyn, the core chapel of the Masonic movement. With the
help of the sea skills and wealth of the Templars, the St Clair Grand
Master, tried to found a new Jerusalem in the New World, landing with 300
colonists, first in what is now Nova Scotia and then in New England, more
than 90 years before Columbus. |

The Secret Scroll Andrew Sinclair
This is the story of a how a little known manuscript in a Masonic
Lodge in Kirkwall has become one of the most important historical
documents of the Middle Ages. It is also the story of the Templars, who
were its guardians, and of what happened to them after the Crusades.
Although references to this famous order of military knights rarely
appears in standard histories of the time, a great deal of information
about them can be gleaned from other, more esoteric sources, such as
sculpture and architecture. Suppressed by Philip of France out of greed,
the Templars were gradually driven underground in more and more European
countries. Yet they continued to exist, still guarding the knowledge and
relics that they had gathered for the defence of the Holy Land. It is this
that connects all this to Henry St Clair, Earl of Orkney and Grand Master
of the Knights Templar and discoverer of America. All of these threads
come together in one extraordinary scroll still in Kirkwall which reveals
in full the secrets of the Knights Templar. |

the Holy Grail
Tim Wallace Murphy
Paperback published January 2003 - Advance Order It.
It is said that Rosslyn Chapel is
the last resting place of the Holy Grail and that the fabulous treasure is
buried in its secret vaults. This text is the story of this mysterious
chapel in Scotland, taking the reader on a voyage of discovery. It
explores the existence of a configuration of seven pre-Christian sites

Knights Templar and Christian Mystics in their search for true knowledge
and enlightenment. Beginning at Compostela in Spain, the voyage of
discovery proceeds to Tolouse, Orleans, Chartres, Paris and Amiens, taking
us deep into a mysterious world where hidden streams of spirituality flow
beneath the surface of European history, profoundly influencing the
evolution of Western thought. The journey ends at Rosslyn Chapel in
Scotland, where the history of its founders, the Sinclair family,
illuminates the revelations of Rosslyn and their significance for us
today.
The New Knighthood
Malcolm Barber
The Order of the Temple, founded
in 1119 to protect pilgrims around Jerusalem, developed into one of the
most influential corporations in the medieval world. It has retained its
hold on the modern imagination thanks to the dramatic events of the
Templars' trial and abolition two hundred years later, and has been
involved in historical mysteries from masonic conspiracy to the survival
of the Turin shroud. Malcolm Barber's lucid narrative separates myth from
history in this full and detailed account of the Order, from its origins,
flourishing and suppression to the Templars' historical after-life. The Knights Templar
Helen Nicholson
Much
has been written about the Knights Templar in recent years, most of it
highly speculative and with no historical foundation. They have been
associated with everything from Freemasonry to the Holy Grail, the
pyramids, the Shroud of Turin and space travel. A leading specialist in
the history of this legendary medieval order now writes a full account of
the knights of the Order of the Temple of Solomon, to give them their full
title, bringing the latest findings to a general audience. |
