The John O'Groat Journal Office In Wick
Much more of the office lies on a lower level and the building is much bigger than the shop front appears on the cliff. The back drops down to Union Street and the paper used until just a few years ago be printed below. The paper is now printed elsewhere and brought into Caithness by lorry. Modern technology can print all of the papers of the north in one place much faster and cheaper and so an era came to an end. But the paper is still going strong and most people read it. |
