Girnigoe
Street continues on up the hill from Shore Lane. It has one small
general store. The main government buildings for central
government departments are situated in this street. The Inland
Revenue, Benefits Agency and Job Centre being the largest. The
complex of buildings is known locally as "The Kremlin" in
keeping with a local tradition for giving places and people nick names.
