Free Church, Helmsdale
Built in 1892 this lovely
church is situated close to the centre of the village. The church is of stone construction under a slate roof. It was built as a place of worship to accommodate up to 1,200 parishioners. The main body of the church has a level floor and a large balcony down both sides and to the rear supported by iron pillars. To the rear of the building are the meeting rooms and the original church hall which is now used for Sunday worship. The church was for sale in September 2004 but we do not
know the current position. |
