This is the start of an
expansion of information on the island of Stroma for the web site.
Bill will be revisiting the island from time to time to add to the
pictures hopefully on a day with better weather.
Bill has been on many Scottish islands in the Western Isles, Orkney
Islands and Shetland Islands. He spent 3 months in St Kilda living
on Hirta and visiting Dun the island opposite with a huge colony of
Puffins.
It is intended to follow up on this misty day to take many more
photographs and to work round the island the southern end at the harbour
up the main road and taking in all of the houses on the island.
Several of the houses were photographed despite the poor conditions and
these will be replaced as better ones are obtained on later visits. |
