Staxigoe - New Canadian Kit
House 18 April 2002
R Coghill Preservation & Building - Now Building Canadian Kit Houses
This one is going up at Staxigoe and it all arrived in two large
containers.
R Coghill Building &
preservation a Caithness Building firm is building Canadian Kit houses.
The Caithness firm are agents for Interhabs who make the kits and ship
them in big containers ready to be constructed on the customers site.
The Canadian company has a web site at
www.interhabs.ns.ca and
in the UK at www.interhabs.co.uk
As part of the future plans Coghills will have their own new web site.
Canadians have been building extremely well insulated homes for their
severe climate for many years. They should more than cope with our
northern Scottish climate as the standards of insulation are well above
the required levels in the UK. Interhabs has been in Inverness for
more than 12 years. Goghill's Preservation & Building will use this
house as a show house for a period after completion in a few weeks time. |
